Sunday's $25,000 to win event came down to 2 of the best. Professional Bracket Racer by trade Troy Williams Jr., and one of Carolina's best, Tommy Plott. Plott took a lead at the start over Williams' Phantom Racer Cars built dragster and the victory to wrap up the 2010 Thunder Valley Bracket Challenge.
The Cummings team enjoyed a great weekend aside from Slate’s first victory. Britt Cummings earned the Best Engineered Car award for his new Moser Engineering backed Phantom Race Cars built Top Dragster machine, then drove the car to a semi-final finish in TD.
Following their season-opening appearance at the Mardi Gras Nationals, team Cummings set out for the first IHRA Division 4 event of the season at Dallas Raceway in Texas. There, teammates Britt, Slate, and Larry Cummings each joined Simoneaux by putting several Moser team machines in the final rounds of competition. Former IHRA Quick Rod World Champion Britt Cummings enjoyed a spectacular Saturday, taking home the IHRA Iron Man in both Top Dragster and Quick Rod. Behind the wheel of his new Phantom Chassis Moser Engineering backed hot rod, he knocked off local standout Jackie Jones in the Top Dragster final.
In the second $10,000 race on Saturday, Troy Williams Jr. of Bradenton, Florida won over friend Greg Samuels of Deland, Florida, with Samuels red-lighting. Troy, racing a 2010 Phantom dragster with a Steve Schmidt big-block backed by a new FTI trans and converter, was racing with a broken left wrist.
Saturday $50k Race - Professional Bracket Racer Stephen "Champ" McCrory defeated Chris Bear and Todd "Bones" Ewing in route to this years $50,000 winners circle driving Overkill's Phantom Dragster.

All the Phantom dragsters did well at the 5 day in Bradenton but none came home with the win. Congrats to Dwayne, Gary, Troy and multiple drivers of the Overkill dragster for going rounds.
Saturday winner - Gary Williams shown with Dwayne Roberts (far right) and Dwayne's father. Gary and Dwayne were double entered in Dwayne's car for the event. Needless to say, this camp had bragging rights on Saturday night.
Tom Dauber won the 2011 Phantom Dragster beating John Labouse in the finals of the run for the dragster race.
We are happy to say that Tom will be a member of the Phantom family, as he has asked us to finish the dragster! We will have it race ready soon!
